Big Brook, NJ

Hi guys,

I went to Big Brook yesterday morning for about 1 1/2 hours... too cold and rainy so I kept the exercise to a minimum...

The fossils are from the Late Cretaceous.

Over the years, I have found many Exogyra sp. and Pycnodonte sp, but never a piece with this type of feature or texture... any ideas of what this partial may be?

Thanks,

Pedro

It looks similar to Cymella sp. Maybe C. undata ? Fragments can be very difficult.

It's hard to remember why you drained the swamp when your surrounded by alligators.
