Chadsergeant
Found this at the Naco paleo site in Payson, AZ. I thought it was a piece of coral at first, it was completely encased in sandstone/limestone about 1/16 in. thick. When I started sanding it down I found this dark olive colored stone. It's odd because I haven't seen anything like it here, being completely covered in another type of stone.

edd
Looks geological ... not a fossil. " We're all puppets, I'm just a puppet who can see the strings. "
Chadsergeant
That's what I thought, but what kind of stone could it be? It's almost like granite but finer grained, my sander literally stopped when it reached this material.
