sixgill pete
Maybe this has been done before, but I could not find one. People say your pets say a lot about your personality, so I am wondering what mine say about me? I will start with these two; this is Rooster Cogbern and Sneaky Pete. Fossildude19
Hey Don, there was one from a few years ago, but lots of new members may want to share. Here are my two rescue dogs: Mocha (Fawn Miniature Pinscher) and Riley. (Dachshund/terrier mix) They are now best buds. EDIT: BTW, Don - great looking animals, all of yours. Rooster Cogburn is a particularly fine example of the species. snolly50
My boon companion, Griffin, an immense cur Shepherd and his lovely bride, Blossom. They are worn out from a manic session of Frisbee snagging and have crashed after tracking in a half pound of sand. They have been gone over 25 years. I still miss them. jcbshark
Great pics and critters folks I'm a dog guy myself but the wife is a cat lover so we have 2 dogs and 4 cats. I don't have any pics of the cats but here's one of the hounds. The black ones name is Carbo and he's a 90 lb mix, I think he has Dane and Pointer and probably a couple other things in there. The white one is Cubera, she's about 55 lbs of bulldog. They are the best of friends Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there! Fossildude19
Tim, those are nice dogs. Rescue dogs??? Thank you, Ben. They were "rescued" from bad situations - the Miniature Pinscher was a breeder at a puppy mill in Kentucky. He spent the first 5 years of his life in a cage. He was "debarked" because he is a barker. The terrier mix was a stray - found in the streets of Houston Texas. He was transported here after we adopted him. They have much better lives now. BTW - nice animals everyone. Have to ask though,... how are hedgehogs as pets? FossilDudeCO
Love my hedgie! They require lots of attention though when younger. Mine loves car rides, just like the dog! They are insectivores and LOVE treats! If I don't wash my hands after dinner though he will bite, but doesn't usually draw blood.
Ramo
I had this guy last fall/winter, but I fattened him up and released him to go on his own with the spring migration. I like to think I just helped him through his first winter which is when a large percentage of young raptors perish. 4 For one species to mourn the death of another is a new thing under the sun. -Aldo Leopold

Jesuslover340
She's getting to be quite pudgy, but she's definitely a "Momma's girl"-she won't sit on anyone else's lap but mine and follows me from room to room in the house. Nearly every time I sit down, she sits on me or near my feet on the edge of the recliner, amd she likes to wake me up in the mornings with purrs and kneading (ouch!). All this is amusing when you know she's a sweetheart at heart but tries to hide it in being sassy However, I am not sure I would consider calling Patches a "pet" so much as a family member, for she is that, and more. She has her own personality, and she contributes to the character of the family. She's helped me in stressful times, has her own habits, and makes her voice/opinion known, just as any family member typically would. So, here's to a family member: "Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another."-Romans 14:
