DE&i
Once a year 400 tons of fresh Jurassic Oxford Clay is delivered to our local fossil area for the general public to look through. So it was early bird catches’ the worm for Elliot and I for a quick look over before the masses descend. From experience we can see it will take a lot of weathering for the less apparent Oxford Clay fauna fossils to reveal themselves. So we decided to mark out a couple of key areas that we thought would look promising after detecting some dark green fissile clay patches that can be quite rewarding. Here is just a one of example of its potential. Ive more photos to come. Unknown at present: maby small skull fragment of fish. MarcoSr
Darren I'll bet that Oxford Clay is loaded with micros. I found a good number in that kilo of Oxford Clay that you sent a while back. I wonder how many micros would be in 400 tons? Marco Sr. "Any day that you can fossil hunt is a great day."
