pinetree Posted August 19, 2016 Share Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) This was given to me about 30 years ago by my father who worked down a coal mine in Northumberland U.K. This is just a small fragment of a huge fossil that got destroyed while blasting the face , the fossil was blown into hundreds of pieces. Tony It was taken to our local museum some years ago and from what I remember they said it was scales but I cant remember what they said it was from. I think ill take it back in for another I.D.
