Dinosaur Egg

Hello everyone, please excuse me as I'm new here but I was hoping someone may be able to help identify what type of dinosaur this egg may have come from. Unfortunately I'm unable to give an exact location of the find, as it was found by my grandparents in the early 1950's in either southern Alberta or the northern USA. I have little to no knowledge in the field of paleontology so any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help!

Hi controlsguru...  Sorry to have to be the one to break it to you, but this is not a dinosaur egg.  It is an ironstone concretion.  They are quyuite common in some dinosaur bearing rocks and in some places they even break up the same way yours is... that is, by peeling small pieces off and leaving a 'soccerball' texture on next layer down.  the first two pix are tough to see, but the third one shows this quite well.
