TqB
It seems to be a cast/copy of this one which is supposed to be in a museum in Brussels (third photo down). Unless it's a different photo of the same thing - matrix doesn't look the same though... http://wildaboututah.org/dragonflies/ 1 Tarquin

This seems to have the right sort of proportions: (from http://palaeos.com/metazoa/arthropoda/odonatoptera/meganisoptera.html) 1 Tarquin
Fossildude19
Comparison: The second one looks fishy to me. However, I can see from a Google Search of fossil Dragonfly images, that the thorax isn't always easy to make out. I would say that it is a modified cast, to give the impression of there being a head there. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." kolleamm
The matrix looks different but I wouldn't buy it just to be safe.
kolleamm
Ok I figured it out, look at the two pictures above. The piece your are trying to buy is an exact negative of the original.
LordTrilobite
That looks like a really good cast to me. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

The piece your are trying to buy is an exact negative of the original. It does look like that - in which case, one of the photos must be reversed. But it could also be a figure/ground effect, with the light coming from the bottom in the first photo. I can force my brain to see it that way with a bit of effort. 1 Tarquin
Coco
For me it isn't a negative but a copy !
