help with boney fish mouth part

Hello, any help with identifying this part would be appreciated.  I'm curious what it belonged to...

Found on the surface at beach in Jacksonville FL

 

(It measures approx. 5/8 inch on the widest dimension and about 1/8 inch thick)

It is from a porcupine fish or a burrfish (Diodontid).

I find quite a few of these in the peace river watershed, most badly worn and broken. A very few are pristine. I found this one about two months ago. It has survived packed in clay, mud, sand.  Your section would fit in the center of the right side photo. 

Nice find.  I like ones that still have some of the "lip" attached.
