CreekCrawler
That is truly a great piece. I bet they lost alot of fish on a hook like that compared to todays barbed hooks.

Cris
Great hook, Nate. I remember when you joined artifactsguide and posted that huge barbed one. Love the fish hooks (Well, any bone artifact).

PrehistoricFlorida
Sorry for my ignorance..... how old is the hook, its looks fabulous quality, and what is it made from?.... Thanks... They're impossible to date (without destroying the hook). However, they have been found made of horse bone which puts them at 10,000+. This one is likely made from deer metacarpal/tarsal. www.PrehistoricFlorida.com
