This is my first one. I wish you success in your search! I am lucky with these bits of silicified wood . . . the examples in these images have been sold into other collections. I sell these on eBay from time to time. I keep only a few special pieces in my personal collection (see my Gallery album). I will be offering more specimens at auction soon. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

fifbrindacier
Thank you all for your compliments. Once, during a fossil hunt, a member of my club found a nice and big piece of petrified floated wood. He was so proud of his found ! But he wondered about the little round pink things on it. I wondered if it could be some kind of foraminifer and touched one. It was soft and flexible. He was so disappointed. I mean by telling this that the petrified wood look sometimes so much the actual one that one can be easily lured. I found it in a place where there are oyster beds made with pieces of wood and just before that one i found a bigger floated wood, much heavy but not petrified. 1 minute ago, Harry Pristis said: Show us some examples, Nimravis. ynot
Yeah, I just saw an exact looking piece in another thread here on TFF. It is not necessary to post the same piece in 2 threads. By the way- termite coprolites are hexagonal not round. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
