Shamalama
Necessity is the mother of invention, Roger, and a vacuum will work just fine. That Aptychus is really detailed! -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. When a roadcut presents itself, they tend to lurch and weave. To them, the roadcut is a portal, a fragment of a regional story, a proscenium arch that leads their imaginations into the earth and through the surrounding terrain. - John McPheeIf I'm going to drive safely, I can't do geology. - John McPheeCheck out my Blog for more fossils I've found: http://viewsofthemahantango.blogspot.com/

At some point the fine dust may start to choke up the motor, but it should do the trick for at least a couple of weeks. I've parked the little Aptychus next to the big one in the display cabinet just for fun. It's probably from a baby Aspidoceras, whereas the big one is presumably from a larger family member, Pseudhimalayites. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. As a matter of fact, I have found one in 3D and a couple pressed flat. The 3D one is in a partial living chamber. The phragmocone is long gone. In an Aspidoceras binodum. Late Jurassic. In Harpoceras sp. Early Jurassic. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

Kane
Roger, what are those more pronounced looking bits on the flattened ammo? You made a point of photographing them directly, and I plead ignorance on what I am seeing here. Are these associations or something unique to the ammo? ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
