So I drew a paleo-reconstruction of a noteworthy but sparsely-known apex predator Temnodontosaurus eurycephalus, which was believed to be the top apex of the Early Jurassic until the rise of proto-pliosaurs like Rhomaelosaurus. Unlike its famous squid sucking sister T. platydon (metaphor, not literally), T. eurycephalus had a thick skull with deep jaws and large robust teeth suggesting a macropredatory diet and probably fed on other ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, and anything else that it could swallow (Also, growing lengths of over 30 feet, it probably could swallow everything other than another Temnodontosaurus)

This is actually my first time finishing a paleo-reconstruction using only a pen tablet and photoshop (All my other drawings were either unfinished or done on paper). I used a Huion 1060PLUS drawing tablet and Photoshop CS6 to draw this. Took at least 3 hours to draw, and I heavily referenced the holotype skull to draw the head. Turned out pretty neat, but I don't know if I should color/shade this.

I'd like to see it shaded-think it would clarify some details and provide nice contrast :) Nice work!

Nice job!

Now you just have to complete one for every other unrecreated fossil animal:P

But seriously hope you do more!

Happy hunting,

Heh heh. Unfortunately, a restoration of T.eurycephalus already existed straight on wikipedia, so this won't count. But I'll try to do more, heck I'll DO more, but I'll probably go on drawing obscure species without a proper and accurate (Well I'm still not qualified to be able to have all my works relied on as accurate) reconstruction, or simply obscure but note-worthy species and let them be known to the world :P

Are you taking suggestions? :P

Sure, although my skills usually only apply to marine macrofauna (pretty picky, huh?).

Pallimnarchus? Or Quinkana?

Very nice drawing- I can only do stick figures, and those are really bad.

Nice drawing!

Ioften liked linedrawings to much to color them, but fortunately you don´t have that conflict with a digital drawing, just keep the original and make a coloured version whenever you feel like it.
