crinoid calyx

good evening this came from a creek in travis county with plenty of volcanic ash fossils and mollusks. Any iformation appreciated

Doesn't look like any crinoid calyx I have ever seen. :unsure: 

The pattern looks etched into the rock.  :headscratch:

I don't know what that could be, I'm a newbie to the hobby myself, but I think it's beautiful! Tumble it, polish it up, put it on a silver chain!

Yes, it really looks like a meandering sponge.
