Ludwigia
There's a great story behind this find. It was discovered by an amateur paleontologist like you and me, Michael Mertens, and he passed along his discovery right away to the right people. A long article was written by him about the find and preparation for our Steinkern magazine back in 2015. It's good to see that the studies have reached their conclusion and that the discovery is important enough to now be shared with the general public. Thanks for sharing. 4 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

FossilDAWG
Very cool. One quibble, it would have been nice of the authors to acknowledge the finder and thank him for bringing the specimen to the attention of researchers. Don

That's why I mentioned his name, at least for the TFF participants. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
