Ha ha .  The ROM certainly picked the perfect name coupled with the hype to attract folks to their museum

Did you know?

David Evans posted this:

A detail of Zuul’s ossicles. Some ankylosaurids have hundreds of thousands of tiny little osteoderms that cover most of the body- kinda like bony chain mail armor

Thanks @Troodon for the update. I had not seen this thread yet. What a marvelous specimen and a monumental prep task!

Hats off to the folks who dug it up and those preparing it!  :tiphat:

I too have not seen this thread and all I have to say is Wow, an amazing specimen that took 8 years to get out of the ground and then being prepped by amazing preparators for 3 years now and still some time left. Wow

I have no clue what is going on in this thread, but I saw Zuul in the feed so I felt inclined to say:

”Are you the key master?”

That is scientific gold. Would only be made better by Rick Moranis being present.

Just wow!  This is sooooooo interesting it hurts!   I was going through this thread and thought to myself how super cool it would be to prep something like this until I saw the photo of the guy laying on it while prepping.  That really put it into perspective in a preparators point of view.   This is an outstanding find and prep job!!!
