Nicholas
Wonder how big a fish you could catch using a three foot long worm? I thought the exact same thing. I thought there was a variant of giant worm which still exists in the jungles today.
Shamalama
It sounds like these are more closely related to the giant worms that live at the black smokers near ocean rifts. I have an issue with them automatically assuming the water was cold when the sediment was lain down 450 myo. Just because it was near the polar south pole doesn't mean it was cold like it is today. The worms at the smokers are giants and they live in superheated water. -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. To them, the roadcut is a portal, a fragment of a regional story, a proscenium arch that leads their imaginations into the earth and through the surrounding terrain. - John McPheeIf I'm going to drive safely, I can't do geology. - John McPheeCheck out my Blog for more fossils I've found: http://viewsofthemahantango.blogspot.com/
