D.N.FossilmanLithuania
Dear guys, Yesterday (14th February 2018) I found this tooth crown with well visible cross section. It is Late Givetian (Sventoji horizon) in age, about 383 million years old. It is found in erratic of Varena town, South Lithuania. It is Eusthenopteron fossil tooth by the all features of shape and the tooth crown is 9 mm length. This tooth is identified by the same shape of the cross section that you can find here: http://palaeo.gly.bris.ac.uk/Palaeofiles/Fossilgroups/Sarcopterygii/Rhipidistians/index5.html Please look at the both sides of the fossil in photo and vote if you are interested. Fossildude19
@D.N.FossilmanLithuania Not sure if this is meant to be under fossil ID, or Fossil of the Month.
