Wonderful job.....  What do you use to cover up the missing shell, "dings" and "chips"?  I have done two of these and have ding marks on them (as when purchased) and was unsure of what to do to cover them up while still making the shell look original.

If it’s just a nick, a bit of Paraloid will darken the blemish. If it’s more than minor damage, you’ll have to fill it and paint the repair.

Late to the party. This was certainly not my best work (I've done a few more since). Kris has it, though. If you don't have paraloid, clear boot wax or floor polish has been used to cover dings and give a bit of shine.

Kris & Moderator, thanks for the quick responses.  I am in the process of purchasing the recommended item so I can experiment with it.  If I do it correctly it will definitely improve some of the rough Trilobites I've purchased and further detailed.  I'll post some "before and after" photos when I've completed one that looks acceptable.  Thanks again.
