Very cool 3-d fossil! Were you able to extract the whole branch?

Very coarse furrows for it's diameter; different than most, anyway.

RomanK..... Nice Find, it does seem less ribby.... maybe Bruno will take a look, it could be a branch of something else maybe...Nice to see your mining spoil heaps lol..... some are more productive than others and those rain run off channels that cut into it, usually produce the odd fossil or two ;) ....

Heres one of our 'slag heaps' here in the UK.... getting a little overgrown now though....

Agree, it can be something other then calamite, but I would say it is not lepidodendron branch for sure. The dead rock was very hard and a bit different comparing with other places. Most previeuos were layered, that - not.

Very similar to our. It's really big one and bring some problems with pollution.

This is the most dangerous Donetsk mine. Huge amount of rocks but mainly without any fossil.

This could be a calamites , the ribbs seem to be converging to a node, it's pretty sandstone.....and the red colour

shows sideric minerals deposit .... bruno
