I have recently been going through my fossils from Mannum, South Australia and have been trying to ID them down to species. There is a couple echinoids that I have been a bit stumped by. I have ID them all down to genus but am having some trouble getting them down to species. What does everyone think? Dan 1000 Posted June 4, 2018 Author Share Posted June 4, 2018 @Coco Hi. Photos 1-2 are Eupatagus murrayensis?. Dimensions are 27mm long, 20mm wide and 10mm tall. Photos 3-4 are Eupatagus rotundus?. Dimensions are 20mm long, 15mm wide and 10mm tall. Photos 5-7 are Ortholophus morganensis?. Dimensions are 7mm long, 7mm wide and 5mm tall. These echinoids are from Mannum, South Australia and are aged early Miocene to middle Miocene. There is also a Mannum echinoid ID pdf included at the top of this post.
