Coco
Wowh ! Marvelous ! Commissurales teeth at the top and below are just missing, but they are so small... Here is a recent Notorhynchus cepedianus, sevengill shark Coco ---------------------- OUTIL POUR MESURER VOS FOSSILES : ici Ma bibliothèque PDF 1 (Poissons et sélaciens récents & fossiles) : ici Ma bibliothèque PDF 2 (Animaux vivants - sans poissons ni sélaciens) : ici Mâchoires sélaciennes récentes : ici Hétérodontiques et sélaciens : ici Oeufs sélaciens récents : ici Otolithes de poissons récents ! ici Un Greg... Phoenixflood
Ok, well, I have a question now from looking at this. I thought this tooth was perfect but I'm having some questions about the larger tooth. It looks like it would be a bottom tooth for the amount of points it has but the root looks more like one of the top ones. Any suggestions The soul of a Fossil Hunter is one that is seeking, always. Coco
It could be an upper or an lower tooth, the last one just before the commisurales teeth. The main difference is the height of the root. But ! ! ! Roots are more developed on the first row than on the internal ones... The root of yours is used, it does not allow to know what was its size. But by intuition, I think it is a lower one, because the root height is bigger than the cuspid (= over the root) one.
