Zenmaster6
Off the road cut in Gazelle Callahan Road Northern California. The location is supposed to be Silurian sediment. I suspect this is solely a mineral but I thought it was strange. Let me know what you think. I'm not looking for specific species, kinda just yes coral or no coral. FranzBernhard
There is some calcite vein filling (3rd pic), but also some prominent polygonal structures reminiscent of favositid corals attached to it. No, in the third pic, I think I can see that the polygonal structures are worn down calcite crystals. So, yes: 56 minutes ago, Zenmaster6 said: this is solely a mineral Most probably. And try to put one of these in acid - do they dissolve completely? Franz Bernhard
