traindispatcher
Hey all, just moved here to (N/E Flordia) from Indiana and walking the beach we found these. First post here. Just wondering if you could identify any of these. I had a problem uploading these photos to this site, When I read the rules about links it said no to websites but ok from "You may post pictures only, from a commercial website" I hope this is allowed, If not please let me know. Thank you all... I'm sure I'll enjoy it here. -C No.1 https://ibb.co/tzj0r9S No.1 https://ibb.co/vdgpGwz No.2 https://ibb.co/J3Db6ZR No.2 https://ibb.co/FWPGhxF No.3 https://ibb.co/LzXwFgX No.3 https://ibb.co/nsyjb5p No.4 https://ibb.co/WVGK3nw No.4 https://ibb.co/37Pxgx7 No.5 https://ibb.co/mTzm3ww No.5 https://ibb.co/9gcyr7X No.6 https://ibb.co/jVVwm33 No.6 https://ibb.co/D1YNxYD
digit
What problems were you experiencing in uploading images to the forum? If they are images from a smart phone and were too large (too high of resolution) you can try emailing them to yourself--there should be some option to downsize the image when doing so. This may get you past your posting problems. If not, explain a bit more what is causing the hang-up and we'll try to work you through it. We don't like images held on external websites as those links often go dead over time and then we are left with posts that no longer show the imagery and are useless for instructional purposes in the future. We have over a million posts and countless images contained within this forum and we like to preserve things for the future (we are a FOSSIL forum after all). If you cannot seem to get the images loaded, let us know and we can download the images from the external links and upload them here. Welcome to the forum--Florida is a great fossil hunting state. Cheers. -Ken
caldigger
Your linked pictures also don't allow for them to be enlarged for closer inspection. Some of us don't exactly have 20/20 vision going on.

JohnBrewer
Not sure 1 is a fossil but the others look turtle bones John Map of UK fossil sites
digit
Not sure I'm seeing bone texture in #2 but #3 seems to have the hallmarks of a peripheral (edge) piece of turtle shell. The others appear to be bone bits but look to small to have diagnostic features enabling more of an ID than just "fossil bone". If we had dinosaur fossils in Florida (as they do out west), these would all be called "chunk-o-saurus". If you are finding these, then other easily distinguishable fossils like shark teeth are likely nearby. Cheers. -Ken
Bronzviking
They all look like water tumbled bone fragments to me. 5 hours ago, caldigger said: Your linked pictures also don't allow for them to be enlarged for closer inspection. Bronzviking
After zooming in on all your photos they all look like bone fragments to me. All very worn and water tumbled. I agree with Digit #3 turtle shell or scute. #4 is possibly a jaw fragment. To what animal I have no clue.
