flavius
Specimen is unusually heavy, approx 3 inches in diameter with a thin, shiny outer crust. Found while hunting arrowheads in a newly plowed and fit cornfield in Northeast Ohio near Black River.
Fossildude19
Unfortunately, ... I'd have to say this is a concretion or nodule of some sort. No eggshell texture visible. Northeast Ohio is also not known for fossil eggs.. Have a look through the Egg Guides. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." pjullien
It is a very interesting piece. I have found several nodules/concretions each of which has an interesting display.
