DevilDog
Is this tooth one of the Isurus species? Found on Topsail Island, North Carolina.
PaleoNoel
Looks like Isurus to me, may be I. planus
Praefectus
I think it looks a bit more like a lateral Cosmopolitodus hastalis tooth than I. planus. The hook-shape is a little less pronounced and more curved in hastalis teeth. Also, I. planus are only found around the Pacific Ocean.

Good call, I wasn't sure if planus was just pacific but it makes sense as the majority I've seen online have been from STH. In that case I have a couple partial teeth from Aurora, NC which resemble this and are probably C. hastalis.
