ttop71
Hi first timer here. Was with my 84 year old father looking around on Bonita Beach near Naples FL, and this was the first thing I picked up to try to show him what shape we were looking for. Wondering if this is indeed a shark tooth, and possibly what type? I have searched pictures but mostly find “ hook” shaped teeth of this small size. any ideas or suggestions are most welcome! Praefectus
Hello ttop71, That is a fossil shark tooth. Unfortunately, it is very worn and providing an exact ID will be difficult. I am leaning towards bull or dusky but it may be something else.
