After probably the best summer I’ve had in terms of fossil collecting here’s just a small portion of what I have to show for it

My pseudodechenella plate. This is half and there is two more in the other piece. So it looks like there might be three to 4

And not to mention Devoniandigger helped me get my first camo bug which ended up being a 2 inch prone as well as being to be able to dig with lots of awesome people.

Without knowing anything about this, I had an encrusting bryozoan feel when seeing the photo.

Nice finds. I would say that your top specimen is that beautiful Bellacartwrightia. That is a type of fossil plant/wood probably a lycopod like Archaeopteris. I like the delicately preserved  spines on that Spinatrypa spinosa  :)

Many times I've wondered how much there is to know.

I agree with Mikey, ... both on the quality of the finds, and the ID of the unknown as plant.

I have one very similar to it from the Deep Springs Road site.

Way to go, James!  :)

James you did real good this summer. But the season is not over yet. I plan on being down at least 2 or 3 more times before the snows come.....
