Straight sided, flattened fossil ? or ......

Hi folks.

This is the first I've seen a line this straight in the shale matrix here.

I did not want to break into it until I shared it here for comments.

Almost looks like a flattened something, but I have no clue what.

Could it just be geological ?

Orthocone cephalopod. Maybe Michelinoceras sp. ?
