Notidanodon
Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well. In my free time I've been working on properly labeling my fossils. Now, not being an expert, I'm not quite sure of all the ID's but I'm not about to flood the forum with ID requests. So here are some of the ammonites I'm least sure about. If anyone could provide any more information on formations and ages etc. that would be great! Even if its hard to acquire more info on them, it will be a fun opportunity to showcase some of my ammonites. 1. 2. 3.darellia semicostata, burton bradstock 4.label says Dichotomoceras bifurcatoides from the middle oxfordian of poitiers, france, looks like persiphinctes spp to me though

The Amaltheus is from the Amaltheenton Formation and the Hyperlioceras from the Inferior Oolite Formation. The French don't generally use formations, so you won't find anything for the Dichotomoceras. 2 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Thanks again, from what i gathered about french formations, they do exist but they are in very expensive maps so most collectors wont have access to them

I also got mine from a french collector, some formations can be found, but only from very well known locations, i think mostly they just work in beds? You probably know better than me though also for the amaltheus, i cant understand the location, bei halen mean at neck? do you know what b.w. stands for

I haven't bothered myself very much with the subject, since we tend to think more in zones here in Germany. As to the Amaltheus: That's a capital 'A' rather than an 'H'. The name of the town is Aalen and B.W. stands for the German province Baden-Württemberg. Aalen is the type locality for the Aalenian. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. JohnJ
@will stevenson. The reason they show on your phone is because your phone recognizes the file. You did upload the screen shots (thanks ), but note that they are not uploaded in your previous post. 2 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
