To similar form

I wonder if this form could be one or two fishes or a rugose coral? The both "fishes" is about 1,5 cm long, from middle ordovicium.

If the rock is Ordovician in age, then there won't be any fish fossils found within it.

 

Could they perhaps be longitudinal sections of high-spired gastropods?

Actually, the Ordovician saw the emergence of ostracoderms. ;) :ninja:

 

They would be rare and localized. I agree that this is not likely a jawless fish.
