Is this a meteorite?

Hello! I was just sifting through some old stuff and found a peculiar rock that I had discovered when I was a child in a stream somewhere in Massachusetts. I was wondering if this resembles a meteorite? I attached some pics if those might be of help. It's quite a heavy stone, maybe a pound or more. I'm interested to hear what you all think whether real or not!

we do find this very thing in the permian and devonian strata here in Arizona.  they are manganese / iron nodules formed in deep water sediments.   We have also found Goethite nodules in the same strata.  It is not a metorite.

Does a magnet stick to it?

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

Not to decide if it is a meteorite or not. Could be, you need to show it to a meteorite professional and perhaps let it been cut to see the internal structure.

I post a 2500 g - piece from Odessa with similar surface, great one!
