FF7_Yuffie
Hello everyone, A Tyrannosaur tooth here, it measures 1.1 inches, and is from Wyoming (Weston County) Lance Formation. If anyone can ID it as Nano or T-Rex, that would be much appreciated. There some very slight serrations, which I have zoomed in on. Thanks for the help. Nanotyrannus35
Just based on robustness, it looks to be a Tyrannosaurus rex tooth Enthusiastic Fossil Hunter
Troodon
It's more difficult to distinguish between the two because it's a premaxillary tooth. Both have the same base profile. Jane has a nice set of choppers up front. All I can positively say its a Tyrannosaurid might be Trex,
Opabinia Blues
Nanotyrannus lanciensis is currently considered a synonym of Tyrannosaurus rex, so by taxonomic convention there's only one Tyrannosaur officially recognized from the Lance Formation: Good ol' rexy. That said, I have avoided the controversy by labeling my Lance Tyrannosaur tooth as just that: Tyrannosaur.
