DanJeavs
Hi, found these today at Speeton, UK. Could anybody tell me what they are, was thinking they may be a possible vert, but I wouldn’t have a clue myself. Al Dente
They are individual sections from an ammonite. It is the infilled area between the septae.
fifbrindacier
Hi, i'm sure those branching things are not vertebrae. 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." That would explain the kind of decorations that can be seen on the side of one of them. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." MeargleSchmeargl
Agreement here, too. Ammo sections. Neat! Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.
