ynot
Hey hi Folks, Found this tooth tonight and just had to share it with Y'all! Scale is still millimeters. It has a perfectly round root and cap with no carnie until the chevron shaped finale. The finale has a sharp edge along the full perimeter and a pronounced groove between it and the rest of the tooth. Another really strange tooth from the sharktooth hill nano matrix! 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My microscope has a 50 - 200 power without the multiplier. I was at full magnification for the last 2 pictures (no multiplier). The first 4 pictures were somewhere in the middle of the range. 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Innocentx
Thanks, Tony. Very informative for me as I search through my matrix. Now I know better as to what might be important. Different time periods but still applicable in many ways. 1 "Journey through a universe ablaze with changes" Phil Ochs

It seems rather wide for that but it's tough to come up with something else that's known from the bonebed. Those short folds on what appears to be the labial face is a tooth character of Triakis. Hi Tony, I think this tooth is also a Triakis posterior tooth - a position in front the other one with the other one being what that last (commissural) tooth would be. Those little folds at the base of the crown on the labial side indicate Triakis. Galeorhinus has smooth crown faces. Jess
