Stratigraphy: Pinecrest Member of the Tamiami Formation.
Location: APAC, Sarasota County, Florida USA.
Status: Extinct
Notes: Largest of the Southeastern Cenozoic Marginellidae. The body whorl envelopes the spire forming a depression on top of the shell. Also found in the Jackson Bluff Formation in the Florida Panhandle.
