@Shellseeker It's broken and this is a pretty bad picture but does this give you any particular impression?

My guess is a horse (lower?) premolar perhaps?

I have looked at the tooth.  I do not recognize it. Size?  Do you think it is the chewing surface?

This image is a side view, here are another couple showing the chewing surface and some scale, as well as the split (it is basically cut in half, giving a cross section of the tooth). These are hopefully much more helpful

Much more helpful.  I am embarrassed ... can not even identify Equus,  the most common mammal tooth in the Peace River.. Definitely Horse

Ha not at all, truly a horrible first picture! Thank you, my first mammal tooth - now to find the other half (or just a whole one would be fine)
