I’ve been meaning to sort out these Triassic bones for a while. Here’s a cephalic spine from a hydobus shark:

Pachystropheus vertebra. Notice the long processes but it’s quite a small vertebra. These creatures were like marine iguanas:

Pachystropheus neural from a dorsal vertebra:

Fish bone. Not sure what it’s called but I think it’s from the tail:

There's an amazing specimen of crinoids on wood at the Hauff museum in Holzmaden, Germany.  5e8e075acdd0a_18mCrinoidLog.jpg.48a152c57848878ac2b94c52e763934f.jpg

You sure have a shed full of terrific fossils. I'm sure they all come with interesting memories as well.

Thanks. That’s part of the problem - each fossil has a memory but I’m running out of space.

Thanks for looking everyone.

I’m done for today but I’ll post more tomorrow. I’m getting there slowly and hopefully providing some interest in the process.

Thanks @Natalie81. I agree but it’s quite a lot of prep. Maybe one day.

You have some really fun fossils!

Thanks @aplomado. I love the Triassic bone bed as well. You can spend hours looking through it. That’s why I rarely throw any away.

Thanks @Tidgy's Dad. My wife found that years ago.

The kids love the ammonites. The contents of the box are increasing:

A Lyme Regis ammonite that didn’t make the grade. I probably should have reverse prepped it:

Starting to get somewhere. I’ve tidied under one bench and put another storage shelf in. I’ve also managed to clear the top of that bench.
