I can't speak for this particular scope, but I have a Dino-Lite which is the same type but a lot more money. I think the major differences are the resolution and quality of the optics. I find it very useful for taking close-ups of my fossils. They have a wide range of scopes for a wide range of prices and qualities.

I have used a number of brands of these. They are "OK" but I find I often need an additional LED flashlight to get clear, bright, images from solid specimens.
