From my last hunt in the Westphalien of Northern France,the stem seems to grow from the seed(Trigonocarpus)but i think the seed probably fall on a Alethopteris stem,very strange :) An Idea?

Beautiful specimen! I love the texture on the "coat" of the seed. Not sure about the organic connection, though. I'd lean towards coincidental overlapping, but difficult to say on the basis of photographs alone.

Searching for green in the dark grey.
