Myrmica
Hello all, Greetings from the northwest coast of North America. I have been collecting both fossils and minerals (don't mock me please) for many years, mostly in BC and nearby US states. I look forward to joining in on the discussions. Top Trilo
Welcome from Colorado USA “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. It felt like home. It still does" -Mike (Pagurus) “The best deal I ever got was getting accepted as a member on The Fossil Forum. FossilDAWG
Welcome to the Fossil Forum from northern Georgia USA. I'm curious to see what and where you have been collecting. I used to live in BC and I collected on Vancouver Island and around the Princeton area, plus a few other places here and there. We have a few other members from BC who are pretty active on the Forum. Myrmica
Thank you all for the warm welcome. FossilDAWG: I have collected a little on Vancouver Island, mostly Sooke and the 'usual' locations but the cost of the ferries has provided enough of a barrier to push me southwards to Washington and Oregon. And, I was thinking of heading to Princeton one of these upcoming weekends. I stopped for half an hour near Whipsaw Creek last summer, just to share the site with family and look for some insects, and came away with a nice little fish. IsaacTFM, I have been able to do some collecting in southern England - we have been lucky enough to holiday there a few times. I will have some brachiopod ID questions for you, I'm sure. All the best,
Earendil
Welcome from Colorado, USA! We won't mock you about collecting minerals, that's how many of us started, including me!
