New Members Kees Posted April 28 New Members Share Posted April 28 Hello, My name is Kees. I am from the Netherlands. In the seventies as a primary-school boy I used to read every book on dinosaurs in the local library and collect stones with the imprints of shells on the Baltic beach of Neukirchen. Fast forward 2024 I bought a fossil wood slab from a stone dealer which rekindled my interest in fossils. I am not going to start a large collection that will gather dust in boxes but plan to buy the occasional one with display qualities. I am intrigued by fossils showing signs of infestations and diseases and specimens telling us more about the way the animals lived, e.g. with food in the stomach or wounds caused by enemies or accidents. In my next entry I will ask for an ID of the slab I referred to above.
