Is this ammonite a ammonite Porpoceras?

The owner does not have any info on this ammonite other than it weighs 10.7 lb.  I searched and found a photo of Porpoceras, (see below) which looks similar.

Not familiar with how this looks so different from the photo off the internet.  Has it been poorly restored?  Thanks for you help.

No.  Porpoceras is more evolute, among other differences.

The ammonite looks totally carved. Who knows what the original looked like.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

(Link removed)  Hope you can see this link, found that exact one.

I didn't realize you could post the link or I would have done that.  Yes, that is the one.  I contacted the seller and he had no info at all other than the weight.  I wanted to find out the ID.  As Uncle pointed out it is not Porpoceras.   I have eliminated Kosmoceras spinosum and Stephanoceras spinosum.  I can't seem to find an exact match using google or dd go.

I believe that what you have there is a Douvilleiceras from Madagascar. There are a lot of these in this type of preservation available on the web. In this case, the normally strong ribbing has been ground away over the areas which I've marked below in order to create the thorns on the keel. That Porpoceras, by the way, is from my collection.

Thanks to all who replied.  Especially to Ludwigia who took the time to show me how it could be changed on the photo,  Your Porpoceras looks amazing!

I really glad for all of your help.  It has saved me from making foolish decisions.
