Pksuperfly
Hi all, I found a fabulous sharks tooth fossil about a month ago. Today I found this on the beach in Bay Head and I’m having a hard time identifying if it’s a tooth or just a rock! Anyone want to enlighten me? val horn
it looks like a fragment of enamel to me, possible a small fragment of a mammoth tooth. Where is bay head?
M Harvey
It looks like a sliver of polished rock to me. Possibly slate.
Plax
laggy vertebrate material of some sort. Partial tooth or dense bone phosphatized in a lag. Provenance always helps!
