I can only dream corner of whatever I might have found, but it appears to be scales or skin? How should I proceed to expose the rest without damaging what might be under the rest of this layer. Thomas.Dodson Posted June 22, 2021 Share Posted June 22, 2021 For any detailed response pictures are going to be necessary since the type of rock/sediment, fragility of the specimen, and state of the exposure all matters to how you proceed. On a general note I'd just say proceed slowly and carefully. You can be more rough and fast in the future if you determine the find is structurally sound but it's harder to back up and repair things if you overdo it from the start. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
