Your bone is very "spongy" or porous, which could indicate whale bone. @Boesse, who Tim mentioned, is an expert on marine mammals and he may be able to offer more information. However the lack of locality data will be an impediment to identification. The bone might also be modern. To check this, you might hold a flame to the bone (an un-obvious area).
