DenverEdge
I’m working on another piece of Judith River matrix that I got at the Denver show this year. I think this could be considered one of the better pieces it’s one of the larger ones for sure. It’s shy of a half inch long somewhere between 0.3 and 0.4 inches, but there is more to expose at the base.

Would I would be right in saying it takes a lot of time and practice to be able to tell the difference between the two when they are worn spitters? I have a few more pieces of matrix to work on after this. Unfortunately the one carnivore shaped one I had broke last night when I was working on it. Didn’t look like anything special no cutting edges, looks fishy to me.
Troodon
This is typical of the back of ceratopsian tooth with the opening. Hadro are flatish Hard to say on your other tooth. Cannot see enough. Might want to expose some more. Too big for fish, might be croc.

Thanks I didn’t even realize that was the back side I thought that was the wear side showing in that picture. By back side you mean lingual side right? I’ll try to get it removed so I can get a better understanding of it. And the other tooth is fully exposed now it’s out of the rock but it is also in two pieces now unfortunately. Oh well live and learn. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks I actually think you helped me understand much better! Could you identify all the sides for me when I get it removed? That would be super helpful for me to know what to look for in the future. And the other tooth is only 3-4mm long maybe (4 is a stretch). I tried to hold it together to practice so I don’t glue it on crooked but it’s so hard to hold on to. I plan on going to get some paleobond hopefully tomorrow and the allosaurus vert string is there so I will get those close ups of that as well.
