I just acquired this fossil recently.

Can anyone provide some thoughts on this fossil?

ID also, please. Is this a Barasaurus?

Thanks!

Not an expert on this stuff, but I think that better pictures (less grainy) would be needed to see if it is genuine.

Parts of it are real, but man, there is a lot of paint/restoration going on.

I would pass on this, personally.

  • Fossildude19 changed the title to Is this real? Barasaurus?

This is either a Barasaurus or Claudiosaurus

Not my area of interest, however, so maybe @oilshale can weigh in?

Seems to be Barasaurus. Claudiosaurus has a longer neck.

Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes (Confucius, 551 BC - 479 BC).

Yes, but here the head is fake, so you can suppose that the neck is longer

True, the head does not look good.  I didn't look at the fossil properly. Reptiles are not my world.

Pictures are too blurry, difficult to say. There might be also the problem with bone filling I mentioned in another similar topic in "is it real?"  section
