New Members Fossiliz Posted May 5 New Members Share Posted May 5 Please help me identify these fossils in a beach rock. Found on the central Oregon coast.
ted coulianos
Looks like an embedded segment of crinoid stem that has been split lengthwise and polished by wind and water; unfortunately, you really identify it beyond that. Hope this helps.
ynot
Does not look like crinoid to me. Not sure but get a fish vibe from this. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." New Members Fossiliz Posted May 11 Author New Members Share Posted May 11 Thanks for the input. It’s my hope that it’s some sort of fish or fish parts. But perhaps it is parts of a crionied. To me it looks a bit more like scales than segments. It’s still a mystery but perhaps I can find an expert at Oregon state university to help me out.
