-Asked several high end Moroccan dealers about availability of product...none seemed to have an issue.  One commented that the biggest issue was not the government but that the number of collecting areas are getting fewer, so that may have the biggest short term impact.

oh, interesting..., we heard in Munich and Ste Marie that the government will be perhaps the problem and the prices in morocco directly. Never heard that its a problem of collecting areas.

What´s about the number of visitors? Do you think it´s the normal amount like the time some years ago or less/more? Last faires we visited I had the impression that its "business as usual", same amount of visitors and good business

Looked busy and dealers seemed happy with business the first couple of days, appeared normal.  Will that continue???  Prices are up quite a bit.   Need to see what the dealers say at the end of next week.   Weather has been cooperating, cool mornings, nice afternoons no rain.

we will see..., everything becomes more expensive and fossils are "luxury", fun. At the end (this is my opiniion) selling high-end and high-quality-fossils will not be a big problem if the prices go up, many people with lot of money. I assume the "medium segment" in quality and price will loose. But, we will see.

Hope to go to Tucson again next year, cannot sleep well when looking on your fantastic pics and report. Some of the fossils make me nervous, and, the atmosphere on the show was always a pleasure!

I actually think lower quality fossils will benefit because most collectors cannot afford high priced/quality ones.

The RMGM venue is primarily a mineral show with one key Dinosaur and a Green River dealer.

Quick shots for the mineral aficionados.  They have some outstanding specimens.  Big tent, no trinkets

Here are some Spinosaurid hand claws and some others at the Marketplace Venue.  Sorry for the bad photos, Under several layers of glass and lighting.  I did not examine them but on the surface they looked real, no composite.   Again collectors should deal with higher end sources, not auction houses.

That's an awesome skull! So robust for a feline! Much more impressive looking to me than even the Smilodon sp.! :o

Because we're not supposed to appraise or give out price information on fossils on the forum as per TFF-rules.

I thought that was evaluating that wasn’t allowed. Surely sitting for sale is fine?

Oh ok, just seemed odd because there’s also a for sale section of this forum. :Confused05:

Im curious what some of these were going for.

Thing is, we're not supposed to appraise fossils. However, if we then go and post photographs of prices vendors are asking for specific types of photographs (and we're not supposed to mention specific vendors either, by the way, which contributes to this issue as well), then we're implicitly still providing a mechanism by which members would be able to appraise other specimens. That having been said, appraisal is rather senseless anyway, if you ask me, as fossils fall into the category of "art objects" in the sense that prices can vary greatly per vendor and targetted buyer audience - or even individual buyers!

The sales section of the forum is for member-to-member sales only and therefore different pricing rules apply. Also, the selling member is supposed to come up with a suitable price themselves and, here too, pieces can't be appraised. So different purpose :)

I'm sure that if you ask @Troodon nicely (in a PM), he'd be perfectly willing to share this information with you :)

That's okay. We all need clarification about certain things sometimes ;)

Sorry for a couple of blurry ones but no I don't see any.   They are pretty rare and very small.   If you have a specific tooth in mind point it out might have missed it.
