Giant sloth tooth???

Recommended Posts

I found this a while ago in peace river, at first I thought it could be a dugong rib but posted it on Facebook and some said it could be giant sloth tooth Megalonyx jeffersonii -  just wondering if that’s what it could be?

I did some more research and went to a museum they said it could be the canine.

I’d say it’s a piece of bone

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

Yup. No spongy cancellous center (solid through) which indicates a small dugong rib bone.

Cheers.
